Decanter 2009 - Gold Medal Winner
Brilliant salmon in colour, this wine is voluptuous and velvety. An intense nose exudes aromas of caramelised fruits (redcurrant jam, figs, citrus fruits, raisins) as well as a certain freshness brought about by fragrances such as liquorice. After several minutes chocolaty and vanilla notes come to the fore.
In the mouth, the wine evokes pink grapefruit and dried fruits (hazelnuts, almonds), finishing on notes of spices (ginger bread, cinnamon).
A wine of great elegance, this wine presents a clean attack and a strong finish based on present yet delicately expressed tannins. An evident sensuality dominates in mid palate.
Powerful and yet refined, this complex wine enchants with its heady notes.
In good conditions, the Rosé Reserve can be kept for 10 to 15 years, during which time it will develop complexity and aromatic richness.
